dynamic engagement - the foundation of our training philosophy
transcending discipline through thoughtful development of the equine athlete from the ground up
Dynamic engagement means your horse is engaged mentally, physically and connected to you on the ground or as a rider at all times, through all situations. Both the rider and the horse need to be strong, flexible, and balanced to achieve peak performance. Our approach recognizes the importance of balance and engagement to enhance overall performance. That is why we employ a thoughtfully curated combination of classic training methodologies that effectively translate across all disciplines and skill levels.
The Trainer: Claire Pelton
Claire brings decades of experience to the table from her beginnings at age five in Suffolk, England to her countless competition wins in the U.S.
While she focuses mainly on performance Quarter Horses and Arabians, her national level success is in a multitude of disciplines and breeds.
She is best known for her ability to translate complex training concepts to her students and produce a supple, willing athlete that transcends show ring trends. Often she is the last hope of horses deemed “untrainable” or difficult.
Claire’s keen eye for rider position and its effect on the horse makes her a secret weapon in the equitation arena too.
“Not only am I teaching kids to ride and train their own horses, but I am teaching them confidence, respect, integrity and perseverance. These are all qualities that will help them in every aspect of life. I am a role model and mentor to my client’s children and that is a position in life I take very seriously.”
